To whom it may concern:

It is a distinct pleasure to recommend to you my esteemed business associate David Cohen. I have known David for over 6 years now.

David and I became acquainted during a candidate search for a key client in the telecommunications arena. This particular company was looking to secure the services of a marketing and promotional specialist for their small corporation. As is commonplace with many small business clients, this company was looking for a stellar performer. The parameters of this position called for an individual who was not only highly productive and seasoned in the branding and promotional area, but someone who was an exceptional communicator with an entrepreneurial demeanor and could literally lead the implementation of this new business model from conception to revenue realization. David Cohen was the right choice for this high profile position. He not only exceeded all expectations for their new business launch but was depended upon for tactical advice relative to their core business model.

Over the last few years I have personally secured David’s consult involving many strategic decisions that have affected my business. David is an individual who has a unique and highly respected talent for new business evangelism, business reengineering as well as new business niche recognition. He has the insight, technical aptitude and savvy to handle both the nuts and bolts specifics that drive the revenue model or the higher level branding and marketing strategies required to successfully launch the effort. David is well-read, highly networked in the Atlanta business community, steadfast and strategic. His insight is focused, innovative and neutral. He has the ability to see the mechanics of the business venture from both an insiders and a consumer’s perspective. Through his intuitive and neutral directive, David can provide a small business venture with a critical advantage in a highly competitive, highly technical and ever-changing marketplace.

In closing, I would highly recommend David Cohen’s consulting services to any small to mid-size business looking to secure professional direction in marketing and branding, web presence optimization, concept realization or organizational focus.

Sincerely,

April L. Herrett,

President, HTS of Georgia Inc.

I would like to recommend David Cohen as a personal professional coach. I feel his skills, experience, and his DNA makes him ideally suited for this role.

Here are just some specific ways I have benefited from David’s help:

* Clarity/Focus: I’m passionate about my work and have a “quick draw”, “from the hip” working style. David’s analytic side has helped slow me down, distill my thoughts, & add meat on my “scaffolding”. David is an excellent listener and is able to tease out, clarify, and organize the essence of my directions in a patient, interactive style. David is very articulate and chooses his words carefully to provide me clear, concise, rich, and meaningful communication.
* Prepping for speaking engagements or presentations: he provides candid but helpful input on messaging, content, scope (sometimes broadening, sometimes narrowing), critiquing style/delivery. I am not a natural born speaker and after meeting with David, I have greatly increased confidence in my material and my abilities to present.
* Sounding board: I am a serial entrepreneur, but primarily in technology leadership roles. David is very experienced in startups and he has helped me in making critical business decisions in my company direction, priorities, and opportunity approaches.
* Tough Love: While always respectful, David does not hesitate to give constructive criticism.
* Networking: If you some of David’s mindshare, you become part of his network of contacts. David has introduced and promoted my company and me personally to a wide range of contacts. Some of whom I may never had met. All of whom had merit.
* Mind expansion: David is a voracious reader and has a huge thirst for “what’s happening”. My company is in the “converged” space and David has been very valuable in opening me up to opportunities and awareness of what’s happening in the “new & hot” areas of business. He’s find, understands, and suggests a lot of mash ups that aren’t just “cool”, but that make business sense, are germane to my business, and add value. He is a wonderful resource to have a creative session with.
* Reality check: Although David is a very creative thinker, he also has the ability to be very grounded and practical. Without impacting the creative process, he tests ideas and approaches for their merit and provides helpful criticism.

David has helped me in this capacity for 4 years and I find his guidance and support invaluable. He has a desire to see people, projects, and businesses succeed and to be all they can be. He has earned my highest level of trust and has a permanent place in my personal network.

To Whom It May Concern:

I first met David Cohen when he served as the Director of Market
Strategy at CPT International. David joined our company at a critical
juncture when focus and a clear direction were very much needed, and he
rapidly gained respect as his talents were recognized throughout the
organization. More importantly, however, he became someone I could
trust and rely on to provide solid advice and insight on both a personal
and professional level.

For example, just a few months after David joined my team, I had to have
major surgery that left me with some residual facial paralysis. In my
role as VP of Sales, being in front of people was key to my success, but
I was quite hesitant to jump back in the game. David recognized this
and very tactfully challenged and encouraged me to move beyond this by
attending a major industry tradeshow. This was a defining moment for me
both personally and professionally and I appreciate him so much for
caring enough to push me out of my comfort zone.

While we no longer work together, I consider David a personal friend and
a trusted advisor. Within the next few months, I will be transitioning
into a new phase in my career and I have already begun to look to him
for input and honest feedback that will assist me in making a healthy
and successful career move. David is an articulate communicator with a
quiet and respectful style who has the rare ability to deliver the
sometimes tough-to-hear input without putting you on the defensive. His
ability to come in and listen more than he speaks, assess a situation,
understand the goals and devise a strategy to achieve those goals is
truly unique.

I highly recommend him both personally and professionally.

David Cohen and I have known each other for approximately 3 ½ years. During that time, David has helped me in many ways both professionally and personally. Some of the many roles he has played are those of mentor, coach, colleague, and most importantly, friend.

Our relationship started initially as co-workers in a small technology company. David was the Director of Marketing. His marketing ideas and concepts were always fresh, innovative, creative, and most importantly, achievable. He and I worked together with a team of technical professionals to strategize, plan, develop, and deliver a solid business plan that both supported and promoted the company’s vision. In my role as Manager of Operations, I was responsible for delivering the technology that supported the marketing strategy and vision. David’s ability to participate as a team player coupled with his ability to educate and mentor actually greatly simplified my job of delivering the supporting technology solution. David always stayed in the loop. He was constantly working with me and my team through every stage of development and deployment offering advice, guidance, and support.

After about 1 ½ years together at that organization, we both made the decision to leave and pursue other opportunities. I went to work for a small startup organization as the Director of Business Development. At this point, our relationship changed into what it is today. David provided advice and guidance as an advisor. Initially, he met with me face to face on a weekly basis. He was instrumental in helping me gain a better understanding of the sales process. He helped me to develop an innovative sales and marketing strategy that was simple, yet effective. With his help, I was able to grow personally and professionally to perform in a sales role with no prior experience. His guidance, counseling, support, and mentoring were key in that growth. Without his coaching, I am convinced that it would have taken me much longer to become proficient in a sales oriented role. David provided opportunities for me to attend seminars. He recommended and even provided me educational material on sales and marketing from his personal library. He helped me to develop a personal time management plan enabling me to sell as efficiently as possible. Once again, David was there with me every step of the way giving his knowledge and experience, and this time, for absolutely nothing in return other than his own personal interest in my success.

Given David’s wide range of skills and experiences in sales and marketing, his ability to educate others, and his personable demeanor, he has been an outstanding mentor, coach, colleague, and friend. David is a very unique individual that is always capable and willing to invest himself in another’s growth. His contributions to my career as well as my personal life have been and continue to be nothing short of priceless.
